Trivia Corner: 15 video games that feature fireworks!

So now that the celebration of the New Year has ended and your hangovers are slowly fading away, I thought you might enjoy another array of fireworks (as if there wasn’t enough!) but this time, there are no loud bangs and no mess to clear up afterwards, you know, seeing as they’re all virtual. How could it get any better than this?

Super Mario

At the end of every Mario game. Ever. How many people does it take to set them all up?

Splinter Cell: Double Agent

Climbing a building has never been so spectacular.

Sims 3

Fireworks in China. Are fireworks made in China by any chance? Either way, they’re rather pretty.

Pikmin

Do you need any more reasons to save the cute little creatures?

Final Fantasy XIII

The only time in the game you’ll see people happy, so enjoy it while you can. You know, after Snow stops blocking the view.

Boom Boom Rocket

Press buttons. Make captivating explosions. This must be the best thing since chocolate.

World of Warcraft

Loneliness has never looked so nice.

Animal Crossing

The best celebration that Nintendo has given to the world. We all know that you just stop and stare when you see any.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3

I bet you wish your roller coaster was this awesome… and maybe not this dangerous.

GTA IV

A nice mod available. Sure, this entry may be cheating, but hey, you have to admit they’re gorgeous!

Geometry Wars

Are these fireworks or just teenagers at a rave?

Fantavision

Kaboom! What a way to light up a city!

Guild Wars

Fireworks during the day? Boring!

Assassin’s Creed II

No time to stop and stare though. You’ve got sneaking to do!

Super Smash Bros Brawl

Don’t forget children: fireworks can be used to beat up your gaming rivals!

So there you have it; 15 games that like to party just as much as you do, just without all the downfalls after the celebration is over. So, like all the characters you’ve just set your eyes upon; have an eventful and very happy new year!

Snow does quite often just sit in everyone’s way… Surprised to see fireworks in Splinter Cell though? Also, in the New Super Mario Bros., if you land on the flag pole with the timer set on a multiple of 11 then you get fireworks : )
