Blast From The Past: Pokémon: FireRed Version

Pokemon FireRed. Game Boy game. Pokémon. Everyone expected the same old stuff; slightly cartoonish but also slightly realistic graphics, two teams fighting for supremacy blah blah blah… WRONG.

The Pokémon Company turned this round completely, as the graphics have been made much more cartoonish, and you only have one team attempting to take over the world and everyone’s Pokémon. Pokémon? Pokémon? I don’t know, have any?

Anyway, back to business – graphics; I prefer these graphics to the old ones in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, I really do. They just give the game a better sense of fun and you can enjoy the game more, however, this is just my opinion.

Gameplay: Going into the game and seeing the graphics had been changed, I didn’t really know what to expect, but it was the same sort of storyline – the only difference is there is only one team in there, but there are no real key legendaries you could capture. You could capture the three legendary birds and one of the three legendary dogs, depending on who you start with. The story/plot – you guessed it- no real twists or turns. The Pokémon Company and Nintendo (Am I getting any advertising money please? Thank you!) need to put in some major twists and turns, because the games just start to get very predictable. I think this will work wonders for the games, I really do.

Strategies: Many, many strategies, so I’m not going to bother with going over the strategies again because I’m going to keep giving you the same answer time and time again.

Okay, rating is 122 / 125 Cubed Stars, great graphics, good gameplay, getting fairly predictable though, and also they took away the headband, THE FIENDS!!

Okay, happy gaming from me, Nick  🙂
