Pokémon: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Coming This November

New installments in the Pokémon franchise – remakes of 2003’s Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire have been announced by Nintendo in a trailer on YouTube.

While the new trailer does not show any gameplay or details about the remade titles, it does reveal box art and that the games are scheduled for November this year. The stylised Kyogre and Groudon may simply be for aesthetic purposes, but could be hinting at the return of Mega Evolutions from X and Y versions.

The original games launched for Game Boy Advance in 2003 and notably added such features as running shoes, the modern interpretation of the EV and IV systems, and double Pokémon battles. They saw enormous sales of over 16 million and certainly helped the Game Boy Advance to be one of Nintendo’s most successful systems.

Are you looking forward to the new games? Which gyms, locations and Pokémon are you most looking forward to seeing return? Let us know in the comments!
