Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty Hits Wii U

Just Add Water add to the repertoire of consoles their most famous franchise has hit by bringing Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty to the Wii U as of February 11. The remake features the addition of off-screen play on the GamePad for Wii U owners, and will launch at a discounted price of £11.25 (down from the RRP of £14.99).

“We’ve always thought Abe has a great home on Nintendo,” said series creator Lorne Lanning, “and while it took us forever we promised we’d have him and all his buddies from New ‘n’ Tasty on the console. We’ve always believed Abe would resonate with the Nintendo audience and we hope to see that proven true.”

The game is a remake of Abe’s Oddysee, the 1997 PlayStation platformer which introduced the series to the world. It follows Abe, a slave in the RuptureFarms meat processing plant, and was notable for its deliberately unpleasant themes and dark humour.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is also available for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita and PC.
