A thread by NeoGAF user OsirisBlack has revealed new PS4K system information including details on GPU power and resolution output.
In the post, the price is described as currently set at $399.99, the same for a brand new PS4 system currently and would feature a smaller GPU running at a higher clock speed.
The system is also said to include a 4K Blu-Ray player and will upscale games which are not natively 4K.
The most interesting information from the post is that developers are already in possession of development kits for the PS4K and are making games that will directly target and take advantage of the higher specs offered by the new system.
Surprisingly, two games were included in the post, quoted to be taking advantage of the PS4K’s additional processing power, including God of War 4 and Deep Down, a title that has long since been assumed to have been abandoned by Sony.
The release stated in the post is currently set for the first quarter of 2017 although this is subject to change when officially details are released by Sony.
