Biomutant Developer Snapped Up By THQ Nordic

THQ Nordic have announced today that they have acquired 100% of the shares from Experiment 101 AB, developers of the up-coming open-word, post-apocalyptic, kung-fu fable RPG Biomutant.

In addition to their acquisition of the developer, THQ Nordic also gained ownership of the Biomutant IP, making it an official part of their gaming portfolio. Biomutant was revealed earlier this year by Experiment 101 AB, and is scheduled to release on Windows PC, PlayStation4, and Xbox One sometime in 2018.

THQ Nordic was founded in 2011, and owns such brands as Darksiders, MX vs. ATV, Red Faction, Titan Quest, Biomutant and many more. While it was formally known as Nordic Games GmbH, after the company’s acquisition of THQ, Nordic decided to use the THQ trademark in order to regain its association with their franchises acquired from THQ.
